Inaugural E.J. Henderson Youth Foundation Slam Dunk Contest to Follow Saturday, July 24 Lynx vs. Mercury Game
Tavaris Jackson, Jaymar Johnson, Erin Henderson, Monica Wright and Rodney Williams Among Judges
The Minnesota Lynx are teaming-up with Minnesota Viking player, E.J. Henderson, to host the inaugural E.J. Henderson Youth Foundation Slam Dunk Contest. The event will take place on the Lynx court following this Saturday's Lynx vs. Phoenix Mercury game, approximately at 9:30 p.m. A portion of all proceeds will support the E.J. Henderson Youth Foundation (HYF), a non-profit organization that provides guidance-oriented programs for youth struggling to find purpose and direction.
In attendance as judges will include Vikings players Tarvaris Jackson, Erin Henderson and Jaymar Johnson, along with Lynx rookie Monica Wright and Gopher Men's Basketball players Rodney Williams and Blake Hoffarber. The contest will feature local dunkers and consist of four dunk rounds. Dunk participants will include those featured in NBA Nation's SPRITE Slam Sunk contest at the Taste of Minnesota. All local dunkers are invited to participate.

Packages start at $20 and will include a Lynx-Mercury game ticket and voucher for the post-game dunk contest.
